Installing a simple web server on Leopard or Snow Leopard

Hello, today I'll give you a quick overview of Leopard does not like snow to configure the Web server on OS X Leopard o. Both server operating systems are pre-installed with the Apache Web server. Step 1: Create the new directory for our web server to read files.

Step 2: Now we need to Apache, the path to the directory.

From the Finder, click "Go" in the menu bar at the top and select "Go to Folder", type this path: / private/etc/Apache2 /

Find the title of the file "httpd.conf" This is the main Apache configuration file, and this is where you change the path to the folder. Copy this file and save a backup copy in another folder. Open this document and look for a linewith the words "Document Root"

Step 3: Apache is configured, and all you have to do is, Fire It Up!

Go to System Preferences> Sharing and check the box next to "Web Sharing"

Open your favorite browser and type the IP address or the data is the type http://localhost
